Death is a far horizon for the young.
As it should be
If the laws of nature
Apply themselves
Fairly.
Rainbow expectations on life’s beach.
Jumping rock pools.
Nature’s law no more than
A dead crab
In a bucket.
Sunshine makes a golden morning
Lighting infinity’s edge.
Nature is impossible.
Glories, taken each day
For granted.
Sleepless I greet today.
Unthinking, second nature
I make breakfast,
Because I have…
… forgotten.
I stare at the far horizon.
What laws applied here?
My heart is nothing
But a dead crab
In a bucket.
This is superb
